Finally, after two great singles comes the first album of DJ Clazzi, of Clazziquai Project fame. While slightly reminiscent of CP, his solo work has lost a lot of the lounge/jazz influence and is more dance/trance/house in atmosphere. All of the songs are collaborations with various artists such as Sunny Hill, MYK, and Seulong of 2AM, which makes for a nicely varied album. I’m in love with pretty much every song on this album, and can’t recommend it enough!

Clazzi – Where’s Dance (With 진실 Of Mad Soul Child)

I was searching the internet for totally unrelated music, when I stumbled upon this gem. Verdugo Hills is the second album of Caroline, an indie singer-songwriter, and the younger sister of Olivia Lufkin, the famous Japanese pop singer.

Caroline’s music is a mixture of pop and ambient, overlaid by her soft, comforting voice. The songs on this album are breathtakingly beautiful, in an ethereal, almost eerie way, with more pop-ish songs in between. The lyrics are also very well-written: melancholy and longing, but down to earth.

My favorite tracks on the album are Swimmer, Lullabye, and Sleep, but there is not one song on the album I don’t like, so I suggest you check it out. Swimmer is easy to find on YT and elsewhere, so I leave you with a different sample.
